AI Brain Setup · Free guided walkthrough

Set up your AI brain on a solid foundation.

A step-by-step walkthrough for small business owners. You answer questions, and you leave with a Brain Setup Sheet: your plan, your boundaries and your security checklist. It works in any AI tool you choose.

  • Nine steps, in order, from first idea to safe automation
  • Security comes before any connection to your accounts
  • It never asks for passwords, keys, card numbers or client data

What you leave with

One sheet that tells your AI who you are, and what it may touch.

AI is a mirror. It gives you what you give it. The walkthrough helps you give it something worth reflecting.

  1. 01Your tool and its capabilitiesWhat your AI tool can and can’t do, with workarounds for the gaps.
  2. 02Business brief and Scope listsWhat only you do, what AI drafts for your approval, and what it may handle alone.
  3. 03Security statusYour business-only email, sign-in protection and a written never-paste list.
  4. 04Identity sheetYour voice, tone and proof, so AI writes like you and invents nothing.
  5. 05Market brief and archive mapSourced research, plus your documents sorted by sensitivity.
  6. 06Build brief, outreach rules and automation planIncluding how to stop anything you switch on.

The nine steps

In this order, for a reason.

Each step is tied to one of the Three Brains: your judgment first, your knowledge second, AI as labor third.

  1. 1

    Think first

Answer six questions on paper and write three Scope lists before you open any builder.

    First Brain
  2. 2

    Lock down security

A business-only email, sign-in protection, and a clear rule for what never goes in.

    Foundation
  3. 3

    Define who you are

Name, promise, voice and real proof, saved once so every draft sounds like you.

    First Brain
  4. 4

    Research with receipts

Competitors and pricing you have checked at the source, not taken on faith.

    Second Brain
  5. 5

    Feed your knowledge base

Sort documents by sensitivity and keep the human residue a process doc leaves out.

    Second Brain
  6. 6

    Choose your workspace

Check any tool against the same capability list, with a workaround for every gap.

    Third Brain
  7. 7

    Build with a brief

Five parts, one change at a time, and a test before anyone sees it.

    Third Brain
  8. 8

Find leads and write outreach, ethically

Real contacts, real reasons to write, and a way for people to say no.

    Third Brain
  9. 9

    Automate, then keep watching

Start with drafts only, graduate slowly, and know where the off switch is.

    Third Brain

Security first

No app gets connected until these four are done.

Connectors can read, edit, send and post as you. The walkthrough won’t discuss connecting one until you’ve confirmed:

  1. 01A new email address used only for your AI and business work
  2. 02Multi-factor sign-in and a unique password on that email and your AI account
  3. 03A separate browser profile, so the wrong account is never already signed in
  4. 04A written list of what you will never paste or upload

Any AI tool

Pick your tool at the start.

Each tool has its own menus for memory, files, connectors and privacy settings. Choose yours and the walkthrough points to the right places. If it isn’t listed, choose “Other”: it asks what your tool can do, then writes workarounds for whatever it can’t.

The method stays the same in every tool. Which one you use matters less than whether you can think clearly with it.

After you finish

Thirty days to put it to work.

If you tick the box, you’ll get a short email every few days for a month. Each one takes a single step and asks you to do one small thing with it. It starts when you finish the walkthrough, not before.

  1. Day 0Your Brain Setup Sheet, and what happens next
  2. Day 2Check the locks before adding anything
  3. Day 4Your Scope lists are a living document
  4. Day 7Week one: where did it stall?
  5. Day 10Write down who you are before AI does it for you
  6. Day 13Research with receipts
  7. Day 16Feed the Second Brain the human parts
  8. Day 19Match the model to the task
  9. Day 22Write the brief like you’re handing it to a colleague
  10. Day 25Outreach: fewer names, real reasons
  11. Day 28Automate in three stages
  12. Day 30Your thirty-day review

Questions

Before you start.

Is it free?

Yes. The walkthrough and the 30-day email series are free.

Do I need to be technical?

No. If you can answer questions about your own business, you can do this. Where a step touches settings, the walkthrough tells you what to look for in plain language.

What does it ask me for?

Your first name and email to begin. Inside the walkthrough it asks about your business, your goals and your tool. It never asks for passwords, API keys, card or bank numbers, or client data, and it will tell you not to share them.

What do you do with my email?

We save your name and email so you can pick up where you left off. If you tick the box, we also send the 30-day series. You can unsubscribe from any email. Read the privacy notice for the details.

Does it work with my AI tool?

Yes. You choose your tool at the start, or choose “Other” for any tool not listed, including ones that don’t exist yet.

Is this legal advice?

No. The walkthrough points out where rules such as email and privacy laws may apply to you, and tells you to confirm the details with a qualified professional.

Ready when you are

Foundation before automation.

It takes about as long as a good cup of coffee per step. You can stop and come back.
