AI Brain Setup · Free guided walkthrough

Set up your AI brain on a solid foundation.

A guided chat for small business owners. It asks one question at a time, you reply, and you leave with a Brain Pack: paste-ready instructions, rubrics, skills, a connector plan and an operating guide. It works in Claude, ChatGPT, Gemini, Copilot or any AI tool you choose.

  • Twelve steps, in order, ending with a paste-ready Brain Pack
  • Security comes before any connection to your accounts
  • It never asks for passwords, keys, card numbers or client data

What you leave with

A Brain Pack that tells your AI who you are, and what it may touch.

AI is a mirror. It gives you what you give it. The walkthrough helps you give it something worth reflecting.

  1. 01Account instructionsPaste-ready text for your AI tool’s global settings: voice, rules, what it never does.
  2. 02Project instructionsYour project outline, scope and Scope lists, ready to paste into a project or custom assistant.
  3. 03RubricsThe checklist your AI grades its own work against.
  4. 04SkillsYour repeatable jobs written as steps.
  5. 05Connector planWhich apps, what access, and how to undo each.
  6. 06Build brief and operating guideScheduled-task prompt, review rhythm and a kill switch.

The twelve steps

In this order, for a reason.

Each step is tied to one of the Three Brains: your judgment first, your knowledge second, AI as labor third.

  1. 1

    Think first, outline the project

Answer a few questions and write three Scope lists before you open any builder.

    First Brain
  2. 2

    Lock down security

A business-only email, sign-in protection, and a clear rule for what never goes in.

    Foundation
  3. 3

    Define who you are

Name, promise, voice and real proof, saved once so every draft sounds like you.

    First Brain
  4. 4

    Research with receipts

Competitors and pricing you have checked at the source.

    Second Brain
  5. 5

    Feed the knowledge base

Sort documents by sensitivity and keep the human residue a process doc leaves out.

    Second Brain
  6. 6

    Choose your workspace

Claude, ChatGPT, Gemini, Copilot or another tool, with a workaround for every gap.

    Third Brain
  7. 7

    Install the brain

Paste-ready account and project instructions, with where to put them in your tool.

    All three
  8. 8

    Set your rubrics

How the AI checks its own work before you ever see it.

    Second Brain
  9. 9

    Create skills

Repeatable jobs written as steps the AI can run the same way each time.

    Third Brain
  10. 10

    Connect your apps

One at a time, read-only first, with an undo for each. Unlocks after security.

    Third Brain
  11. 11

    Build with a brief

Five parts, one change at a time, and a test before anyone sees it.

    Third Brain
  12. 12

Let it run, and keep watching

Drafts first, scheduled tasks later, and a kill switch you have tested.

    Third Brain

Security first

No app gets connected until these four are done.

Connectors can read, edit, send and post as you. The walkthrough won’t discuss connecting one until you’ve confirmed:

  1. 01A new email address used only for your AI and business work
  2. 02Multi-factor sign-in and a unique password on that email and your AI account
  3. 03A separate browser profile, so the wrong account is never already signed in
  4. 04A written list of what you will never paste or upload

Any AI tool

Pick your tool at the start.

Each tool has its own menus for memory, files, connectors and privacy settings. Choose yours and the walkthrough points to the right places. If it isn’t listed, choose “Other”: it asks what your tool can do, then writes workarounds for whatever it can’t.

The method stays the same in every tool. Which one you use matters less than whether you can think clearly with it.

After you finish

Thirty days to put it to work.

At the end of the walkthrough you can choose to get fifteen short emails, one every other day, over a month. Each one takes a single step and asks you to do one small thing with it. It is optional, and you can unsubscribe in one click.

  1. Email 1Before you touch any AI tool
  2. Email 2Give your AI its own address, then lock it
  3. Email 3Your never-paste list (and your rules)
  4. Email 4Where did it stall? Then, who are you?
  5. Email 5Words you’d never say, and proof you can back
  6. Email 6Map what you know, then color-code it
  7. Email 7The human residue and your top 10 questions
  8. Email 8Who you’re talking to, and research with receipts
  9. Email 9Name it, file it, pack the brain
  10. Email 10Two-thirds done. Keep it fresh.
  11. Email 11Pick the workspace, then match the model
  12. Email 12Write the rules, load the brain, test it
  13. Email 13Stop prompting. Start briefing.
  14. Email 14Outreach with real reasons, then connect carefully
  15. Email 15Automate in stages, then read your first sentence

Questions

Before you start.

Is it free?

Yes. The walkthrough and the 30-day email series are free.

Do I need to be technical?

No. If you can answer questions about your own business, you can do this. Where a step touches settings, the walkthrough tells you what to look for in plain language.

What does it ask me for?

Your first name and email to begin. Inside the walkthrough it asks about your business, your goals and your tool. It never asks for passwords, API keys, card or bank numbers, or client data, and it will tell you not to share them.

What do you do with my email?

We save your name and email so you can pick up where you left off. If you choose the 30-day series at the end of the walkthrough, you sign up for it separately, and every email has an unsubscribe link. Read the privacy notice for the details.

Does it work with my AI tool?

Yes. You choose your tool at the start, or choose “Other” for any tool not listed, including ones that don’t exist yet.

Is this legal advice?

No. The walkthrough points out where rules such as email and privacy laws may apply to you, and tells you to confirm the details with a qualified professional.

Ready when you are

Foundation before automation.

It takes about as long as a good cup of coffee per step. You can stop and come back.
